The Young People Are the Future and The Future Is Here!
About us
We bring young people's voices into the political conversation, creating a space to learn, discuss, and take action on the issues that matter most. With Shelby County being the largest county in Tennessee, Shelby County Young Democrats serve to activate the hundreds of young democrats between the ages of 13 and 35 who live there. With the activation of young democrats, we can make local and statewide governments more reflective of the people they serve!
Our work
As an organization, we believe that the voices and ideas of young people are crucial to the success of our government and society. That is why the scyd... is dedicated to getting young people involved in politics at all levels. Through our county-wide efforts, we aim to educate and empower young individuals to become active and engaged citizens. We provide resources and opportunities for them to learn about the political process, understand local and state issues, and develop their own opinions and ideas.
